Becoming More Productive Can Drain Your Productivity (?!)

As I’m getting geared up to write the GTD Cheatsheet, I started thinking about the people that might learn something new about GTD, yet wouldn’t want to change their current system, for whatever reason. Fear not, oh regular one.

Change is good.

Don’t be afraid to tweak your organization system, especially if it means taking a hit (at least initially) in your productivity. Even the tiniest of tweaks can be beneficial in the long run.

But if you’re still feeling a wee bit timid, check out this article on the Cranking Widgets Blog on changing your system. With helpful nuggets like:

  • Any change you make needs to be thought through completely
  • The more drastic the change, the longer it will take to get used to it
  • Don’t be afraid to revert

Being able to embrace change (of any kind) for the better is crucial to improvement.
