Bubbl.us Makes Mindmapping Easy

Whoo doggies, Have I got a hot site for you creative types! If you’re into mind mapping, (which I am), then you’ll definitely need to check out Bubbl.us.  There’s a thorough review over at Solutionwatch, so I don’t need to re-hash the nuts and bolts of the app.

What you do need to know is that this handy app is already my favorite mind mapping application.  Why, you ask?  Because it’s soo simple.  And as always, simplicity is best when you need to be creative.

Sure, Bubbl.us is online, has a beautiful and response interface, and you can start using it immediately. These are all great things.  But like the 37Signals mantra, less is more.

Bubbl.us doesn’t have hardly any options for the user to modify his mind maps.  There’s nothing to get in the way of your unbridadled creativity. Not even a login!  You can start putting down your ideas without having to register.

Nothing kills a great creativity session like trying to figure out how to use all of the features and keyboard shortcuts.  Restrictions are the bane of productivity.  (That’s why I prefer to stick to the basics when it comes to jotting my ideas down.)  The guys behind bubbl.us seem to understand this.

If you need proof, check out the screenshot of my mapping of this post.  I had half the post written before I knew what was going on.  Seriously, I think it may have read my mind. That’s special software.
