Great post, Glen. One has to break the cycle in order to be more productive. Worrying is very normal, however when it controls your everyday life, you have to put things in perspective and reflect how to face your problems. Try to develop skills and techniques because this would be your tool to having a rewarding and peaceful life.

Indeed, having to write down the things that are bothering you, you will just notice that it's not actually that bad. The most powerful daemons are the ones you create by yourself…once you it write down, the daemons start to vanish…

I agree that worry is a waste of time. Once I really assessed what I was worrying about I felt relieved. Just small things wasn't worth my time. This is a great article and right on target.

Hi Avilbeckford, Looks like you have a great routine. By taking the time to slow down and feel what's going on inside of you, you are one step ahead of most people. Hopefully a brain dump before your meditation sessions will help. I have a pretty good feeling that it will.

I really enjoyed this post and it gives me another tool to put in my tool kit. I find that I too can overthink things so when my mind is racing I slow down it down by going into the Alpha brainwave stage. I journal and often do it first thing in the morning. I will now incorporate doing my brain dump on paper, then I meditate before going to bed at nights. Thank you!
