I had no idea where you were going with this when I read the title. I was expecting to see that Friday is a great time to take the day off, perhaps because Thursday is a big drinking night… but no, you want people to be productive, go figure! =)

Making workdays feel like Saturdays is ultimately about control. Control over our time and the things we do.

Most work environments control both of those through a combination of subtle (peer pressure) and unsubtle (job descriptions, reporting line etc) means.

So while we can make small changes, the big changes depend on our ability to free ourselves from wage labour.

Gawd I’m sounding like Tim Ferris…

Could it be that if we are going to put anytime in on Saturday, it’s also on things that REALLY matter? When we check one of those things off our list, we certainly feel better.
