Series: Ideas From Start to Finish

ideas from start to finishI love dreaming. I’m a serial dreamer. I love the novelty of new ideas. I love coming up with them, implementing them, and sharing them. Ideas are like fresh air to me, and everything in my professional life revolves around them.

Unfortunately, the hardest thing for a dreamer to do is to see his/her idea through to completion. It’s not easy to take a concept and turn it into something tangible. Many times ideas go stale, or enthusiasm wanes as the project drones on. What was once novel and new is now a drudgery.

I’ve dealt with all of these issues being a web developer for the past 5 years, and have found ways to avoid many of the pitfalls that keep the idea from becoming anything more than a figment of my imagination.

The Ideas From Start to Finish series will give practical advice from a serial dreamer on how to actually capitalize on our ideas and turn them into a working prototype, while keeping our sanity. So stay tuned, as we get the series under way!

I believe that by just being a part of “Priscilla’ Palmer’s Personal Development list obligates each of us to also post this list. You like me (Killeris at “Attitude, the Ultimate Power”) are on this list. If you have already posted it, THANK YOU. If you have not posted it, I am officially putting out a challenge that you add additional sites that fit the theme and post it. Great post, and I agree with everything you wrote… especially the seeing to completion part!

Still, every great achievement first starts out as a dream.

Can’t wait for the rest of the series.
