		<description>If you read Deep Economy by Bill McKibben you&#039;ll find that there have been studies that definitely link economic level to happiness and things work in exactly the opposite manner than you&#039;d expect.  

The studies have found exactly what you described above.  The more economically prosperous a society becomes the more happiness drops off.  This is due to many things including more isolation from others, etc.

Money and &quot;stuff&quot; sure makes things easier but overall they certainly don&#039;t do us much good as a society or a planet.</description>
