This Week’s Advertiser: ManagerAssistant Appraisal Software
- Posted by glen on March 2nd, 2007
I’m trying a new thing. I’ll be blogging one post per week as a paid review of a service related to LifeDev’s readers. This is a way for me to earn a little to advance the website, and at the same time introduce you to new products/sites. I’ll never review something unrelated to this audience, because I don’t want to waste your time or mine.  Hopefully we can all get a little bit out of this experience.
ManagerAssistant Appraisal Software Review
Trying out ManagerAssistant was something completely new to me. I don’t work in a mid to large-sized company, nor have I run one, so my formal review of the product probably wouldn’t be that informative.
However, I can tell you that the application is interesting. It allows you to track your workers and manager’s goals meticulously. You can manage performance reviews, goals, incidents, accomplishments, training, expenses, attendance… just about every aspect of your employee with this software. Think of it like a productivity tool for employers. It does a great job for filling the void of needing to know what your employees are doing at all times. Check out the tour for a peek at the feature set of this robust business app.
However… it feels a little clunky and antiquated. The design looks a little dated and could use a face-lift. But personally, I think the makers should give up the desktop-based software and head straight to the web.
As an evangelist for online productivity tools, it’s no surprise that I believe this would be a wonderful online application. With the web being invaded by office suites, businesses will start to look more and more towards web-based models for things like expense tracking, contact managing, and others. I’d love to see ManagerAssistant move to a web-based version, get a little face-lift and start targeting the online business app. Businesses are more ready than ever to put their trust in the web. It’s more accessible, and easier to maintain.
I know for a fact that the guys behind ManagerAssistant are seriously thinking about making a web-based version of their product. But until that day comes, check out the desktop version. It’s an easy way to stay on top of what your employees are doing, and what needs to be done next.
