LifeDev 2.0

I’ve been wanting to do an update on LifeDev’s template design for a while now. While I really liked the old design for nostalgia purposes, I’ve been wanting to try a sleeker, more modern look. So when I saw the nonzero theme had been ported to Wordpress, I jumped at the chance to use it.

You’ll notice that I kept the same logo and relatively the same color scheme as the old layout, so it shouldn’t shock the eyes too much.
If you’ve been experiencing some funkyness upon visiting LifeDev today, there’s a good reason for that. Switching themes was not as easy as I had planned. However I’m still really happy with the results.

What do you guys think?

Very nice, Glen. Nonzero’s original red was nice, but you managed to also do a nice job with the gray and green. I particularly like how that shade of green in “LiveDev” looks against the gray of your header.

I’ve come out of my usual RSS reading self and decided to comment and say you picked a nice template, good work!

Looks great Glen. I love how clean it is and I agree with Tom that you integrated your color scheme nicely.

I might suggest that you move your subscription stuff to the second column, only because when viewed at a lower resolution (or with the sidebar open in FF in my case) you lose the 3rd column. Just an idea.

      It looks very cool.

I really like your new design, way better than your old one. I must second Kevin, the grey looks better than the red in the original theme.

      Keep up the good work

Minimalism always threatens to be boring, but I don’t see that here. :)
