Track Time Spent On Your Computer With Outlook Add-In Qlockwork

WorkingProgram has a new Outlook add-in called Qlockwork that helps you keep track of your time online by the tool you’re using. Interestingly, you don’t need to do anything other than install it and it starts tracking 5-minute segments of your day.
While this is a cool concept and I like the fact that it automatically starts itself, It may not mean as much to someone who uses Firefox for almost every application: blogging, IM (via meebo), mail (Gmail), project management (basecamp), documents (Google Docs), etc. Of course, you would have to be running Outlook anyway to use it, so that kinda squashes that argument. If you use many different applications in Windows, this would be right up your alley.

Hi,
I work on Qlockwork and actually it’s pretty handy even if you do do everything in Firefox. Qlockwork records URL and page title, so you can break down your activities further than just “Firefox”. The example screen shot was a low detail summary that didn’t show you any of that.
You are correct that right now you need to run Outlook to see the results, but watch this space… :-)
