Give Your Email Subjects Some Soul

Email post titles are something I usually don’t spend too much thought or time on. However, the basis of productivity is the finding the quickest way to get something done. If emails don’t have a concise title that describes the email, we’re not doing the recipient or ourselves any favors. Howo’s Tip of the Day has a great guide on how to address emails that cut to the chase.

If I get a new email, the first thing I want to know is ‘What is required of me?’ Do I have to reply, do I have to execute some other form of action, is it just for my information, or is it a reminder about something? This concept can be extended to anything. Blog titles, to-do lists, even when jotting down ideas.
