For plain email i think it's the best program out there, it has endless possibilities if you want to use them, especially good if you have multiple email accounts.

Ririan:
Great rain analogy. Another great rain anology to email:
When it Rains, it Pours.

Patrick:
I've never heard of the TheBat! I'm personally a fan of GMail with the GTDGmail Firefox extension.

First I have to say I really like reading your blog.

I use TheBat! as my email client and it is really easy and straight forward to assign notifications to specific email addresses or folders in my inbox. So I've set up some audio notifications for really important stuff and that also prevents from checking my inbox every time something new comes in, except the important stuff.

Greetings,
Patrick

We've all got more email than we can handle, and as a result it can be very easy to get in the habit of checking your inbox almost obsessively for new, unread mail.

Email is like the weather, and it's always raining. I do find that when I go into "project mode" and close the email tab, I become frighteningly efficient. So I'm sure that if you cut down on your trips to the inbox, you can get a lot more done.

I agree with your posts one more time :)
